Dental veneers also referred to as porcelain veneers are tooth coloured materials that are created to cover the exterior of your teeth in order to enhance your teeth and improve your smile. We are able to change the colour, shape and size of your teeth with veneers as they are bonded to the tooth’s surface.
Typically, dental veneers are fabricated with either porcelain or resin composite material. When compared to resin veneers, porcelain veneers stain less and appear more like natural teeth.
Your teeth would be prepared for the porcelain veneers on the first visit and an impression or digital scan taken of the prepared teeth. The veneers would be bonded onto your teeth at a second visit after they were fabricated in and returned from a commercial dental laboratory.
