Removable partial dentures have been designed to replace the natural teeth in your mouth which may have been lost; this can be applied for one or more teeth. Partial dentures replace missing teeth and help preserve the remaining natural teeth.
There are several ways partial dentures can be made, the most secure material used is cast metal, which is very durable and thin. During your appointment, we will discuss which partial denture material would best fit your needs. The choice of dentures is reflected in the wear and tear, the aesthetics and comfort of the dentures in the mouth.
A few visits to the dental office are required in order to get properly fitted for partial dentures. In your initial assessment, impressions will be taken to fabricate the denture. Once the denture is created, you will try it on and adjustments will be made at this time to ensure that it fits nicely and securely in the mouth.
For the most part, a denture can be repaired within a short time frame, however this will depend on the type of repair or issue that you need. The dentist will assess the situation as well as the options available. We will advise if the denture can be salvaged or would require a replacement.
