By our now using digital x-rays, we will be able to gather information that is quick and easy to evaluate and you will be at a lower risk of radiation exposure as much less radiation is used for digital radiographs.  As well, we are able to store your results electronically and view them more efficiently.  This will allow our team to provide you with the best service to ensure that we restore and maintain your oral health effectively.

Safety of dental x-rays

Although dental X-rays involves some radiation, the levels of radiation required for digital x-rays exposure is very low. Most modern dental offices, such as ours, currently use the upgraded and latest digital radiography. 

Dental X-rays during pregnancy

Dental x-rays might be required during pregnancy as part of a dental treatment or during a dental emergency. Dental x-rays are only used when absolutely necessary and that means possibly even during a pregnancy.  However, if necessary, this will be discussed with you and will only be taken with your knowledge and approval. Dental x-rays do not need to be postponed, if you are attempting to conceive or breastfeeding.
